Singapore chooses products Made in Italy by COES


For the soundproofed drainage systems in Singapore's international airport, the system chosen was PhoNoFire, made of flame retardant copolymer polypropylene + strengthening charges. The programme consists of multilayer pipes and fittings in diam. from 58 to 200 mm, including special and exclusive elements such as the swept entry branch.

 

The pipe is made of an inner and outer layer of flame retardant copolymer PP and an intermediate layer of flame retardant copolymer PP + strengthening charges to guarantee exceptional soundproofing and reaction to fire.

In tests carried out at the Fraunhofer Institute for construction physics in Stuttgart, PhoNoFire obtained a level of soundproofing of 14 db at 2 l/s according to EN 14366 and was classified B S3 d0 (material unlikely to be combustible) according to EN13501 for reaction to fire.

 

The design of the fittings, with innovative grooves, conveys improved compactness and strength, even at low temperatures.

 

The double lip basket, co-moulded onto a polypropylene ring inserted mechanically into the socket of the fitting, is made of bi-material to facilitate insertion of the pipe into the fitting and cannot be removed, ensuring a perfect hydraulic seal, even in backflow conditions.
